When did Jesus live?

Walking down to get milk for lunch, I was with a little boy and a little girl. The girl saw a painting on the wall and mentioned Jesus, and asked if he was still alive. I told her that he was not alive on Earth anymore. And the boy said, with great confidence, that no, Jesus is not alive now, he was alive in the 50s.
